So, do you like the title? Anyway, this is a great meal to make if you - and friends - are watching footie. Particularly delicious in the autumn when the season has just gotten underway.
Ingredients
8 Sausages (best you can afford)
2 Apples
2 Onins
3 Tablespoons olive oil
Small piece of butter
200 ml apple cider or juice
Cut both the apples and the onions into wedges. Put everything except the cider into a shallow overproof dish. You want all the ingredients to lie in one layer. Season with salt and peper and stir so that everything is covered with the oil. Put in the oven at 359F and cook for 45 minutes.
At half time, take out of the oven, turn over the sausages and add the cider. Put back in the oven for another 45 minutes.
While Chelsea is pulverizing the competition, the sausages will cook to a lovely golden colour and the cider will reduce to give you some cooking juices. After the game, take out and enjoy.
Serve with baked potatoes.
Love,
Mom
